About the project:
We’re in the process of covering classic tracks from the scene and releasing our own versions. The reason for this is that new AI audio-detection software can now identify music with around 99.9% accuracy. That has effectively stopped us from releasing sets containing the original tracks, regardless of the verbal agreements we already have in place with more than 40 labels across Europe.
The plan is:
- Cover classic tracks from the scene.
- Record new DJ sets using our own versions.
- Bring you into the studio and record new "live" sets under a new brand that we control, which is still to be decided. Any ideas are welcome.
- Release the finished sets.
- Keep a much larger share of the royalties than ever before, because the music, production, recordings and releases will all be handled in-house.
